My #101 Blog Post
When I published my last blog post, it came to my attention that it was the 100th post I have published! In this #101 post, I would like to share what the Bible means to me, and hope my readers will have the same excitement I have in reading the Bible!
My Story
I love Wisdom! Since childhood, I have such a strong desire for wisdom that it was not uncommon for me to memorise a whole book until I could dictate it word for word. It also gives me tremendous pleasure whenever I could solve a problem or a puzzle.
The Bible is Striking Like a Bomb!
I decided to read the Bible cover to cover after I had been invited to Christian Church many times. Since I cannot reject something that I have no knowledge of, I decided to find out for myself whether or not Christianity is real.
I started with the Book of Proverbs because I knew it is a Book of Wisdom. It amazed me that once I started to read, I could not put it down until I have read it over five times! Then I proceeded to the Book of Genesis. The same thing happened, and I just kept on reading, not even wanting to eat or sleep. The Scriptures kept coming up in my mind, and I lost 5 kg in two weeks without any signs of weakness!
The Bible is Full of Riddles, Codes, Metaphors and Multi-Level Messages
One reason I never grow tired reading the Bible is because it is written in an advanced multi-level language with multi-level meanings. It takes revelations from the Holy Spirit to unlock some of these passages, and some Scriptures do not have meaning until we have gained certain knowledge and life experience.
The Bible is also full of riddles, codes, metaphors, imagery, puzzles and more. When I receive a revelation, I sometimes feel like my soul is being nourished with the most precious ointment that fills me with the fragrance of knowing God.
Seek and You Shall Find!
I believe one reason the Bible is written this way because the Lord wants to conceal His secrets from His enemies, but not for us - His children! He actually wants His children to find Him! And that is why He gives us the Holy Spirit. He even made the following promise to us:
And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:13
For to us God revealed them through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God. 1 Corinthians 2:10
Discover the Secrets!
The Bible tells us that searching out a matter is the glory of a king! Since all children of God are destined to become heirs of His inheritance, let us first learn Wisdom by searching out the secrets of our Father God! The Bible also tells us that, if we know the truth, the truth will set us free (John 8:32).
It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, But the glory of kings is to search out a matter. Proverbs 25:2
The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the Words of this Law. Deuteronomy 29:29
