What is the 1,335 Days Prophecy?
Like 1,290 days, 1,335 days is mentioned only once in the Bible and in the same verse:
From the time that the daily sacrifice is abolished and the abomination that causes desolation is set up, there will be 1,290 days. Blessed is he who waits, and attains to 1,335 days! Daniel 12:11-12
Clearly, 1,335 days refers to an additional 45 days after the 1,290 days period. In Part Two, we have already mentioned that in the 30 days following 1,260 days of tribulation, the beast kingdom will be utterly destroyed. So, what will happen after these 1,290 days? Why is it a blessing to wait 45 more days and attaining to the end of 1,335 days?
Marriage of the Lamb
What is the next greatest thing that we can expect to happen after total destruction of the beast kingdom? Won't it the Marriage of the Lamb? Let us take a look at what the Bible says would happen immediately after destruction of Babylon:
After these things I heard a loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, saying, “Alleluia! Salvation and glory and honor and power belong to the Lord our God! ... for He has judged the great harlot (Babylon) who corrupted the earth with her fornication ... Alleluia! For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns! Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready. Revelation 19:1-7
This means people who waits and attains to 1,335 days are those who will be present to attend the marriage supper of the Lamb! And why are they blessed? Because this is said by the Lord!
Then he (angel) said to me, “Write: ‘Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!’ ” And he said to me, “These are the true sayings of God.” Revelation 19:9
But Why Does this take 45 Days?
1,335 Days = 1,290 + 40 + 5 Days
40 Days
I believe "40 days" will not be unfamiliar to anyone who studies the Bible. Israelites wandered 40 years in the wilderness before entering their Promised Land. Even Jesus fasted for 40 days before starting His earth ministry.
Before entering a new phase of life, there seems to be a period necessary for purification. If we do not break away from our former lifestyles, thoughts, habits and behaviors, how can we adapt ourselves to a completely new lifestyle and phase of life? Is this why we need to wait 40 days like the Israelites before entering our Promised Land?
5 Days
Why 5 more days then? The Bible did not give specific answer to this, but my guess is, the Marriage Supper will last 5 days??
Jewish Feasts are important events, and it is not uncommon for a feast to last several days. Passover and the Feast of Tabernacles is 7 days, Purim is 2 days, but none of these Feasts is 5 days. Is this, a "5 day Feast" reserved for the Marriage Supper of the Lamb?
Be Careful to Attain to 1,335 Days
One thing to note is, even if one has been called to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb, it is still possible for him to be taken out during the Feast, as written in the Parable of the Wedding Banquet:
But when the king came in to see the guests, he saw a man there who did not have on a wedding garment. So he said to him, "Friend, how did you come in here without a wedding garment?" And he was speechless. Then the king said to the servants, "Bind him hand and foot, take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth." Matthew 22:11-13
It is a great honor to be called to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb! If anyone of us is so blessed to be invited, WE MUST NOT TAKE THIS INVITATION LIGHTLY! Instead, we must show gratitude to the Host, and appreciate how much efforts He has made to prepare this Banquet!
